Habakkuk 3:1-19 "Rejoice"
Habakkuk asked God why He was so slow in answering his prayer. Ever ask the same question? I think we all have. God did answer his prayer but not as Habakkuk wanted. He prayed for revival, but God said "no" for Israel is to find discipline at the hands of Babylon. In response to God's answer, Habakkuk gives us this prayer. This prayer is one of looking to God, who is still God in the bad and difficult times. He pleads for mercy in those difficult days for His people. In this prayer we see a man who is confident that God will act on behalf of His people once again. But in the meantime, rejoice for God will be with His people in the bad times and someday deliver them.
