2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 "Prayer of Comfort"
A prayer like this one brings comfort and encouragement to the person who is going through a time of difficulty or suffering. We learn that God wants His people to be able to live worthy of their calling even when life is difficult. In other words, live a moral life, a life with Godly ethics and a Christian world view. Those things never change. So be encouraged to live in faith even when life makes no sense. We also learn to lives as we ought. Our life must to be filled with God's power and be controlled by the Holy Spirit. Paul ends his words of encouragement saying to us that the end goal for a Christian, no matter what life brings, is to bring to the name of Jesus, our Savior, the glory due Him. Be encouraged to let Jesus shine through you in that difficult circumstance.
